CEASEFIRE OR STRATEGIC PAUSE? US halts strikes on Iran amid reports of rapidly dwindling missile stockpile
US President Trump has temporarily halted strikes on Iran, saying he wants to give diplomacy one more chance, while warning that if talks fail, “strong military action” remains on the table. That’s the official explanation but behind the scenes, a very different debate is emerging. There are two competing narratives about what’s really happening. Some reports suggest that this recent pause is because the United States is running dangerously low on the precision weapons needed to keep fighting. Others - that the US still has ample capability, and the pause is about giving the Pentagon time to plan a larger, more decisive campaign. America Now anchor Ben Swann talks with Brandon Weicher, author and former congressional staffer. Also, anger is mounting against Ukraine after Kiev launched attacks in the Caspian and Black seas over the weekend.
