To vape or not to vape? Is it safe? Is it safer than smoking regular cigarettes? There are more questions than answers about how vaping affects our health. Since 2019, cases of a mysterious vaping illness have become widespread. In the US alone, nearly 3,000 people were hospitalized between 2019 and 2020, and 68 died. The disease is now known as EVALI, short for e-cigarette, or vaping, product use-associated lung injury.
Alex Mitchell from Provo, Utah almost died after trying a new vape juice. In our new documentary, he tells his story and debates Russian vaping blogger Sergey, who claims that it’s a completely safe alternative to smoking. Whose side are you on in the vaping debate?
